CORD (Competition of Robot Design) is the first of the kind in Egypt. It started two years ago in Ain Shams University – Faculty of Engineering by students themselves. It encourages students to create a robot model with best performance and less cost.

The winning robot last year costs just LE10.00 (ten pounds) with simply cartoon links; strengthen papers and some medical injectors as hydraulic cylinders.

We just want to enlarge the CORD activities to reach the globe as a lot of such competitions such as Robocon and Robo-1.

Registered Applicants will take a short Courses and Sessions (FREE OF CHARGE) about how to make a robot professionally by a visiting students from Ain Shams University in Summer 2009. After these session applicant should be able to create their own robot and get ready for their evaluation in the competition inside our faculty where the competition will be held.

Registered Applicants should be teams consist of 5 students (maximum) or at least one student. After registration, they will be informed the time and duration of the free courses in the summer to share and begin the creation.

And what's new this year that we will start recruitment for new people to join us. New members who want to join us to work as organizer or volunteer will apply at recruitment booth and he will get an interview before competition . Accepted people will be hired and share us in one committee of CORD organization. that's a great experience and win-win relation between students.
